Hustle Monkeys = Champions!
Whew! What a night! This is a picture of the very tired, ready to collapse and pass out Hustle Monkeys. We lost our first and only match of the season in the second round of the tournament and were sent to the loosers bracket. So last night we had to play 5, yes Five, straight matches starting at 6:30 and ending in victory at 11:00 PM! Our game plan was to beat everyone in three games so we wouldn't die of fatigue. We did pretty well with that- we won 14 of the 15 games we played, so I can't imagine how I would feel if we had to play more than that.
I had such a great time with these girls! We spent every game just laughing and having a great time. Back row is Joy and Kim, Front row is me, Kelly, Angie, and Amy. Way to go guys! See you in the fall for a repeat! (thanks for the picture kim!)

Easter with the Taylor's
Our EGGcellent Evening!
For family night before Easter I thought we would try our hand at coloring eggs. I have to admit I was a little nervous about all the mess that it could potentially make, but we did it anyway.
We had soooo much fun! We got some great designs and even some crazy ones, like the egg in the back on the right. That one exploded during the boiling, but Jeff pulled it out and made it look great. We even ended up decorating the boys like easter eggs! Since our hands were already stained, why not stain some designs on them?

Arches National Park Adventure
Hiking up to The Windows in Arches National Park. I think we all wish we could have just flown up there. Especially me. My knees and hips didn't want to go on this hike.
Another one of the Windows, and burrrr, it was cold cold up there! Yes, Max is in shorts. Whats a mother to do with a boy who insists its warm?
Max wasn't very happy about our second hike up to the view point of Delicate Arch.
Delicate Arch-its a three mile hike up there. We would never have made it, so thank goodness for my zoom lens.
Arches and Ouches
Delicate Arch is up and to the left, thats as close as we were going to get I'm afraid.
The culprits
Maybe throwing rocks backwards had something to do with it?
And.....we're done.
This is Balanced Rock. I was just amazed at this place! How do these rocks just sit there and not fall off? It truely was amazing-its like someone put it there on purpose.
We lost both the boys on our drive through the park. It has been a long long time since they have fallen asleep in the car. It sure was nice.
Canyonlands Half Marathon
At the bus drop spot. We then had to walk half a mile up to the start. You can kind of see it in the background-way up the hill.
Me and my long lost friend Tasha
Tasha and Holly-these girls are fast!
Check out the guy in the back!
More Canyonlands..
Runners are very messy...Thank goodness for all the volunteers who clean up after us!
In all the races I've been in there are always signs along the course cheering people on. These were the only two signs on the entire course! I felt so special, even if I wasn't the April they were talking about.
Canyonlands Cont...Again
These are some cool drummers who kept us going
This is me and Jayme crossing the finish line (I called her Jill in this, so sorry). Thank goodness for her meeting up with me, because I was about to roll across the finish line. She took me from an 11 min mile to a 9 min mile, thus the heavy breathing. I sound like I'm going to pass out, so sorry about that. After 13.1 miles, my knees and hips were done. (Note to self: Next time train on the road and not a treadmill). My finish time was like 2:16 ish. Not my best showing by far, but a good effort considering. And no, it did not "suck", it was great fun and I'm glad I did it!
This is me putting on a brave face for my family.
Finished!
