Wahoo!

With our family being so busy all the time, we try to do fun things together whenever we can. This was our latest outing...the Clearfield Aquatic Center. Despite the boy's blue lips, I think they had a great time. I for one don't do cold water, and neither does Jeff, but he lost the paper rock scissors drill and had to go in. I just opted to watch the towels and take pictures for this adventure. Seriously-would it kill them to raise the temperature a few degrees?

Finally...I can check this off my list.

A. The rules of this game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player answers the question about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, and then leaves a comment on their blog letting them know they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog to get the directions.

10 Years Ago....I was at school and in the middle of winter conditioning. I think I was majoring in logistics at that time, but who knows, I switched majors 10 times. And I don't really know exactly what else I was into, but I'm sure it was good. (I have a really bad memory, but that will be explained later.)

5 things on my list of things to do today...
1. Run 10 miles....check...(1:36:32)
2. Relax in the hot tub with the fam...check
3. Wash floors....check
4. Sleep....check
5. Date with hubby to the Jazz Game....check..(He watches the game, I watch Korver and Harpring ;)

Things I would do if I suddenly was a Billionaire...
I would travel, travel, travel! Put my kids in private school. Buy a cabin by a creek. And probably invest the rest. Probably.

3 of my bad habits are...
1. I throw my clothes on the floor...its almost too much effort for me to find a hanger and hang it up. I wish I could muster the strength to do it- but I can't. I make my kids do it though. Aren't I mean?
2. I eat late at night.
3. I don't return phone calls. sorry.

Places I have lived...
Bountiful, Ogden, Layton, Syracuse...thats why I want to travel, travel, travel!

Jobs I have had...
1. Office cleaning
2. Baskin Robbins
3. Painter
4. MacFrugal's Cashier
5. Albertson's Staff Accountant
6. Weber State volleyball Asst. Coach
7. MOM

Things most people don't know about me...
I have a horrible memory. The only way I remember memories from childhood, are when my brothers start reminiscing. Mostly it comes from me not being a good listener, so whatever you have to say...say it fast.
I like to make piles. Piles of everything. Papers, clothes, toys, etc.
I LOVE to sleep. It is my escape from everything. Things always look better when I wake up.
I am a morning person. Even though I have a hard time getting up, I can usually get going pretty well.
And since I am a morning person, and its night time, I can't think anymore and need to go to sleep. I love sleep.

TAG! you're it! JOEL, stacibee, teresa, LACEY (i know you read this, you might as well join the fun), Kandice, and Kristy!!!!

A fishin' we will go!

I've been married to Jeff for almost 8 years and I have never been ice fishing with him. My boys have gone a handfull of times and loved it! I wasn't going to go on this manly bonding trip either, but I decided to grace them with my presence at the last minute. I was a little nervous about wandering out on the ice, especially since the top was all slush, but Jeff assured me that there was still 8 inches of ice below us. It was a great day! In all, we caught about 20 fish and brought some home to eat. It really was fun and I am for sure there the next time they go. By the way, I did try to keep my son in a coat. He assures me that he is "warm". Crazy kid.

To my Sweetheart...

Don't "open" 'til Valentines.
The 80's song is for you. Now you know I really must love you.

(Note to viewers: Because I am still learning how to perfect video making, I couldn't figure out how to make this video go to DVD. There were too many technical problems for me. Anyway, this is the only way I could get it to work so that I can suprise my hubby for valentines day. So to the rest of you, enjoy while you can, cause I'm taking it off pretty quick.)

Don't give up

I know you have all been checking my blog two, three times a day waiting for me to update it. Well I am still blogging, I have just had to use my computer time doing some other things. So yes, I know I've been tagged, and I plan on doing that. I will get an interesting (thats a matter of opinion) post up soon enough.

What a week!

Today has been a pretty emotional day for me and I didn't really expect it to be. I got up early and ran ten miles and came home with the intention of showering and lying down. But as I turned on the TV, coverage of President Hinckley's funeral was on. I watched the coverage before the funeral, the funeral, and everything after. I was so touched by this wonderful man's life and the incredible person he was. His life is a testimony to me of the truthfulness of the gospel and an example of how I should live my life-happy, optimistic and in the service of others. God bless him for his service.

Another reason I've been emotional is because of one very special little boy who is the nephew of one of my friends. Last Sunday he was taken to Primary Children's hospital with a form of meningitis. His family has been posting updates on a blog for him so friends and family know what progress is being made. This blog has been my number one visited site all week-I think I cry everytime I read it. I am amazed at how people have come together to support this beautiful family in their trial. People from all over the world, who don't even know them, are sending their prayers and best wishes. The thoughts expressed by so many are beautiful and touching.

To add to the stress, this family is in the middle of building a house and all the pressures that go along with it. To help relieve the presure, the extended family and friends gathered together to complete a large portion of the house. From the video thats posted on the blog, I could feel the spirit of that family and the love these people have for this little boy and each other. Its just amazing. What an incredible family-I'm proud to know them.

Get well Charlie-we are praying for you.

Meet Jeff Jr.

This is my little man Max. Except today he is requesting that we call him "Jeff". Thats all fine, but it might take some getting used to on my part. Max, I mean Jeff, on the other hand, has made the transition quite well. He won't answer to Max, and automatically answers to Jeff. I think its because he wants to be just like his Dad and loves him so much.

He is so funny lately. Whenever he needs me, or is talking to me, he calls me "mother". Who does that? I didn't teach him to do that-I'm not even sure I like it. And to top that off he calls Boston "brother". I don't think I've heard him call Boston by his real name for a couple of weeks now. Lots of people have heard him do this and then they turn to me and say-"Did he just call him 'Brother'?" I guess he is just getting ready to play a more active role in the church.
