In May we got to go with Jeff to a trade show down in Phoenix. It was a long drive, but so worth it! Here are some of our pictures from that trip...
We made a stop in Zion National Park along the way and LOVED it! We could only handle a couple of the easy hikes, but it was just amazing!
This is Max enjoying Weeping Rock.
Boston taking in some of the tears.
Don't we all look so happy to have been on another hike?
More rain from the Emerald Pools. So Beautiful!
We detoured off the beaten path, but so worth it for this pic.
The boys thought Jeff was the coolest because he could catch lizards along the way.
In Phoenix, we had to keep ourselves busy while Jeff was at the show. For one of the days we went to the Phoenix Zoo. Its the best zoo I've ever been to. They have different areas for different climates. Everything from the outback, to the safari, to the tropics, just everything. The boys loved it...except for one area...you'll see.
Yeah, it was HOT!
One of the areas was the desert (obviously, being in Arizona). You enter at one end and then have to walk through this area and I think the only animals in there were goats. There was NO SHADE, NO WATER, AND NO PLACE TO SIT DOWN! It was HORRIBLE!!! This picture shows the boys displeasure with the whole thing. THEN, at the end there is a drinking fountain with a sign that says "Water is scarce in the desert, please conserve" Yeah, right. I'm about to DIE!
This was the Safari part.
We stayed here for an hour or so. It was just a fun water cave and slide. The kids loved it and so did I!
Max liked the Crocs.
Good times.
I have to say it felt soso good to be in 95 degree weather after coming from the 50's and 60's. We really spent most of our time here in the pool. It was the best!
One night we went to a wild west attraction. The boys did some gold panning, bronco riding, and other fun stuff.

We ment to take this picture as a joke, but he really did back up to far and got poked in the rear!
